GOMsmart is an online data research portal delivering complete and accurate Gulf of Mexico data for the oil and gas industry. Accessible via the internet, GOMsmart requires no special software or training to use.

Intuitive and Easy Access to GOM Information

Tab-Driven Navigation Quickly access information using the main information tabs. Click on the Open Map button to work with data using GOMsmart’s interactive mapping system. Reports and Charts are accessed with a single click.

Interactive Maps GOMsmart’s interactive mapping system opens new avenues for viewing and accessing data on oil and gas activity in the Gulf of Mexico. Many types of data are available within the map: Leases, Field Outlines, Wells, Platforms, Pipelines, and more– all updated within hours of their release by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

Map Library GOMsmart’s Map Library sized Gulf-wide maps. These maps are updated within hours of new data from the BOEMRE. The Library includes: Weekly Activity, New Applications for Permit to Drill, New Planned Sites, New Wells, Currently Drilling Wells, New Discoveries, Prospects, and Possible Prospects and more.

Charts Easily create different types of charts from the Chart button. Simply select the Chart type from the menu, then print or download to your computer.

Reports Reports are available in two ways: Single-Feature Reports cover a single “feature” such as a Well or Lease. Multi-Feature Reports allow you to see results of multiple “features” with one report. Simply select the type of Report from the menu, then print or download to your computer.
