What is AskSmart?

AskSmart is an AI-powered assistant to help compile and analyze GOMsmart data by typing simple English questions or requests. It produces custom tables, charts and both 2D and 3D interactive maps to meet your exact needs. Conversationally type your question or request; AskSmart may ask you a clarifying question or two. It then accesses all GOMSmart tabular data, mapping data, documentation and hundreds of BOEM/BSSE documents.


AskSmart goes beyond existing reports and maps in GOMsmart. For example, if you need the top ten companies with the most leases, AskSmart will use the GOMsmart data to create that table. If you make a new map of leases, you can then modify the leases to be colored by production or status. Simply type your question or request into the AskSmart frame in GOMSmart and push Enter. That’s it!
